First Time in Democracy??
Are the Warlords changing their path of
Mass destruction to Peace and Democracy?
Are we (Somalis) facing a new era of
Hope??
Or are they (Warlords) quitting for
good??
I don’t know, and you too, until we see
the outcome of the prolonged peace conference in Nairobi.
Three days till a Somali Federal Republic President to be
chosen by the newly elected parliament. The new president must
be Decisive, An experienced and honest in leadership. He will
have to deal with a lot of tasks and headaches. He must be
honestly restoring the nation, unifying the regions, civilian,
and all institutions under one federal umbrella. The New
president ought not to take the same Route that the Dr.
AbdiKasim Hassan and His administration choose in his 2000
Presidency which was to stay calm and divider. I do believe Arta
Group has worsened the situation in Somalia by a lot of reasons.
According to the newscasters, either one of these will be a
president:
- Colonel Abdulahi Yusuf
- Cabdulahi Addow
- Mr. Kediye
- Another unknown.
I don’t yet know if either one of them can
match my wish requirements mentioned above.
Ok! Let me come back to why Warlords are
relinquishing. In reality, most of them know that they will
never be a president for different reasons. So, their time of
murdering and rapping is on the edge to collapse. We don’t know
what will emerge as results to these changes. It could be new
era of Hope or the end of Somalia State. These two options are
far apart and could affect every Somali on this planet.
Optimistically, the new government may take
a new roll in defending the existence of Somalia State, yet
again with much to do so. I think they can do it with the help
of The United Nations.
Ok! At the establishment of the Somalia
State there will be few obstacles. The untrained Southern
Somalia Militia should be dismantle and quickly rehabilitated.
So Called Somaliland!!? It is another case that is very
difficult to settle because of its background establishment. I
don’t want to explain why or what, but in summary I will.
In real term, it is a tribal doctrine
State, and it is another huge responsibility for the new
government to tear down. Misunderstanding the federal government
is another thing to face because we (Somali) people can
misinterpret the Federalism by dividing our country. Some may
say, “My State is independent from the intervention of the
federal administration”. This must be first defined, and the
federal Government should be ready to face such issues.
My final call is that we shall look
forward with hope and success. We (Somali) People shall regain
our respect at World! and unity. We must support the new
government without any condition. Success and failure is on our
hand. A new State of Somalia is about to born. Can we again
restore the Old Somalia? I think We can.
